Galaxy S III went on sale first by Samsung in some countries. Can this handset sales to equal or exceed the Galaxy S II which includes most popular smartphone in 2011?
Samsung alone plans to sell the Galaxy S III in 145 countries with 296 operators. Sales done gradually until the end of July. With a massive promotional campaign, Samsung expects S III capable of rivaling the popularity of S II are reportedly sold 20 million units.
Some analysts were predicting the Galaxy S III have a good chance to become the best-selling smartphone. At least until the new iPhone is launched.
"The handset will likely be one smartphone with the most sales this year, although the real test will come when the new iPhone was launched," guns Francisco Jeronimo, an analyst at IDC.
Some reviews have come out in foreign countries about the performance of the Galaxy S III. From the performance side, the handset is much praised. But many considered less impressive body.
Samsung's own current status as the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer. They are also the largest smartphone maker with Apple as its main competitors.
